Brownie Pudding Pie

Mix together:
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup white sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt

Stir in:
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. melted shortening

Put mixture in a very large deep dish pie plate.

Combine:
3/4 cup nuts(optional)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa

Sprinkle over the brownie mixture and pour 1 3/4 cups hot water gently over top.
Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
