Poor Man's Lasagne

4 servings
1 lb Ground chuck
1 Med onion, chopped
1/2 med Green pepper (optional)
16 can Tomato sauce
16 can Tomatoes, drained and chopped
4 cloves Garlic
1 med Onion, chopped (another)
1 Bay leaf
Lots oregano & basil,
Marjoram
Dashes Worcestershire sauce
Dash Tabasco or cayenne
Splash red wine
Lots Parmesan cheese
8 oz Mushrooms, halved & sauteed
4 oz Macaroni, cooked al dente
6 Slices American cheese
chopped chives for sprinkling
Brown beef, onion and green pepper; drain. Add everything but last 3 ingredients. Simmer to blend flavors for 1/2 hour. Add macaroni to pot and stir. Spoon into greased 1-1/2 quart casserole. Top with cheese. Bake at 375 until cheese is bubbly, about 10-15 mins. Sprinkle with chives and serve with garlic bread.
