BAKED APPLE CRISPS
FOR THE CRISP MIXTURE:
3 tablespoons margarine, chilled
1 cup quick cooking oats, uncooked
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
REMAINING INGREDIENTS:
6 large Granny Smith apples
2 1/2 tablespoons margarine
1 cup Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip
To prepare the crisp mixture, cut 3 tablespoons margarine into oats, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg until crumbly.
Cut 1/3 off top of apples, reserving tops. Core out center using melon baller.
Finely chop cut-off apple and mix with crisp mixture. Spread remaining 2 1/2 tablespoons margarine inside of apples. Fill apples with crisp mixture, pressing firmly.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Top with caramel apple dip.
Bake for 20 more minutes.
Serve with whipped creama or ice cream.
