ELECTRIC SKILLET BAKED APPLES WITH NUTS AND RAISINS
6 to 8 apples, cored
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped nuts
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 cup water
Remove 1-inch peel around top of each cored apple. Place apples in skillet.
Fill each center with a mixture of raisins and nuts and dot each with butter or margarine.
Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
Add water to skillet. Place cover on skillet with vent closed, set control at 300 degrees F and bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to Simmer. Cook apples until tender for 30 to 35 minutes. Baste with syrup occasionally.
Servings: 6-8
