SCALLOPED APPLES
6 to 8 tart apples
1/2 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel, core and slice apples.
Melt butter in a small saucepan and add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Heat until sugar is melted.
Place apples in a baking dish and pour mixture over apples, sprinkle with pecans.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
