Recipe: Vegetable Chowder (Mueller's Macaroni, 1937)

MUELLER'S VEGETABLE CHOWDER

1 package Mueller's Egg Alphabet Macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
1 onion, minced
2 stalks celery, diced
1 1/2 cups diced leftover vegetables (carrots, peas, beans or corn)
4 cups milk
salt and ground black pepper (to taste)
parsley (for garnish)

Cook egg alphabet macaroni as directed on package and drain.

Melt butter and cook onion and celery in it 2 minutes.

Add vegetables, milk, seasoning, and the cooked pasta and heat.

Pour into soup dishes and garnish with parsley.
