Recipe: Crescent Fruit Pack-N-Go (using refrigerated crescent roll dough and pie filling)

1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 can pie filling of choice
sugar
cinnamon (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat 16 muffin cups with cooking spray.
Unroll crescent dough and leave in square sections. Flatten dough, making sure that perforations are closed, and cut sections into 4 equal squares (there will be 16 squares) using a knife or pizza cutter.
Place 1 teaspoon of pie filling in the center of each square; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bring 4 corners together in the center and twist or pinch to close. Place in prepared muffin cups.
Bake at 375 degrees for 11-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Serve warm, or freeze after cooling.
Makes 8 servings
