Recipe: Pasta with Porcini Mushroom Sauce

Pasta with Porcini Mushroom Sauce

1/2 c dried Porcini mushrooms
1 medium onion, chopped
2 large cloves garlic, minced
2T butter
2 T olive oil
1 C whipping cream
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 tsp instant chicken bouillon granules
1 tsp dried marjoram
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
6 to 8 oz tagliatelle or fettuccine

Rehydrate mushrooms according to package; drain off liquid. Cut up any large mushrooms. Cook mushrooms, onion, and garlic in hot butter and oil till tender. Stir in cream, paste, bouillon, marjoram, salt and pepper. Heat through.
