Orange Cream Cake
Serves 10-12
2 tsp. shredded orange zest
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. orange juice
1 prepared 10-inch sponge cake
1 c. whipping cream
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
Combine 1 tsp. zest,1/2 c. orange juice & 1/2 c. sugar in saucepan. Heat & stir till sugar dissolves. Add 1 c. orange juice, cool. Drizzle over top, bottom & sides of cake.
Combine whipping cream with 1/4 c. sugar & 1 tsp. orange zest, beat till stiff peaks form. Fold into the sour cream till blended. Spread evenly over top & sides of cake. Chill several hours.
