Recipe: A&W Root Beer Cake

A&W Root Beer Cake

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 Tbls. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. A&W Root Beer

Combine all ingredients in a large mixer bowl. Blend at low speed, beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour into a greased & floured 12x8 inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Icing:
1 lb. powdered sugar
chilled A&W Root Beer (as needed to make a thick icing)

Combine in mixer bowl & blend well. Beat till thick & fluffy.
