Recipe: Cheddar Spread

Cheddar Spread

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/3 cup sherry
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground white pepper
1/4 tsp dry mustard
Crackers or bread to serve

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add cheddar cheese, sherry and garlic powder, salt, white pepper, and dry mustard. Beat until well blended. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight to allow flavors to blend. Store in refrigerator. Makes 2 cups spread. Let stand at room temp 20-30 minutes or til softened. Serve with crackers or bread
