Recipe: Zing Wings

From when I lived in Connecticut, we played on a volleyball team together and everyone would go to her house after a game to eat. 1/20/84
2 1/2 lbs chicken wings, split
6 tbsp hot sauce
1/4 c butter melted.
Deep fry wings 400F for 12 minutes or until crispy. Remove and drain well (may also be baked on a rack in a 400F oven for 25 minutes). Combine hot sauce and butter. Dip chicken wings in sauce. (Best when chicken and sauce put in crock-pot for hour on low & let set overnight.
Bubba and I have come up with many variations. My favorite is to grill the wings, close to charred. Stir wings and sauce together in large bowl, then spread on cookie sheet and place in 350F oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or crock pot as above.
Here's the sauce I've come up with:
Heat these ingredients in a sauce pan:
1/2 stick butter
1 pkg taco seasoning
lots of hot sauce (I like Texas Pete)
chopped jalapenos
tomato paste to get mixture to consistency you want
honey to taste
